The short-tailed monitor is an Australian monitor that lives in the desert regions. It is the second smallest monitor on earth.

    Diet Insects, scorpions, small lizards, reptile eggs, spiders and at times frogs and small snakes
    Breeding Season September to October
    Clutch Size Usually 2-3, but up to 5
    Mode of Reproduction Oviparous (egg laying)
